Daniel Jeffares is a lecturer at the University of York, UK. His research group focuses on evolutionary and quantitative genomics. After a PhD in New Zaealand, Dr. Jeffares worked as a postdoctoral researcher at the University of Copenhagen, Wellcome Sanger Institute, and University College London. His research uses genomic analysis to understand pathogen evolution, population dynamics, epideminology, host-pathgen interactions and the causes of virulence in Leishmania and other pathogens. He works with research partners in Brazil and East Africa.
