Pharmacist with a PhD in Pharmaceutical Sciences from the Federal University of Santa Catarina, Brazil.

Joined DNDi in 2016 and is the scientific and operational manager of international collaborative Drug Discovery platforms, with special focus in Latin America.

These platforms gather multiple partners from academia, industry and CROs/NGOs working under the same goal, the identification of preclinical candidates for neglected tropical diseases, such as those caused by Trypanosoma cruzi (Chagas disease) and Leishmania spp. (cutaneous and visceral leishmaniasis) and dengue virus.
