VINCENT CORBEL
IRD FRANÇADr Vincent Corbel is Research Professor at IRD, Montpellier, France and associated researcher at FIOCRUZ-IOC, RJ, Brazil. Dr Corbel has 20 year’s research experience on vectors of human diseases and their control. He published >150 papers in this field and has led >30 research and training programs on vector control and insecticide resistance in Africa, South East Asia, the Caribbean and South America. Since March 2016, Dr Corbel is coordinating the worldwide Insecticide resistance (WIN) network, supported by the WHO, that includes 19 internationally recognized institutions in vector research to track and combat insecticide resistance in arbovirus vectors and promote the deployment of resistance breaking tools. He is also coordinating the EU-MCSA-INOVEC project that bring together 21 public and private institutions worldwide to promote research and innovation and support the development of innovative tools for the surveillance and control of vectors of emerging arboviruses.
