CDC ATLANTA - EUAEntomology Branch, Division of Parasitic Diseases and Malaria, Center for Global Health, Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, Atlanta USA
Dr. Lucy Impoinvil is a biologist at the US Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC). She leads the next-generation sequencing projects on the Insecticide Resistance and Vector Control Team (IRVC) in the Entomology Branch. Their focus is on scientific research aimed at reduction of the disease burden in human populations, specifically those caused by mosquito-transmitted pathogens and parasites. Currently, her research focuses on applying advanced molecular detection tools to analyze the transcriptomes of insecticide-resistant mosquitoes and identify genes associated with insecticide resistance. These genes enable the development of field-applicable tools for timely insecticide resistance detection and management.
