DS has studied at Imperial College Biochemistry and Molecular Biology and completed her PhD at University College London. In Greece, at Hellenic Pasteur Institutem, she is a Principal Investigator and head of the Molecular Parasitology Group and National Laboratory for Leishmaniases. Her main interests are drug discovery and signal transduction pathways that affect parasite viability and host-pathogen interactions.
